Who We Are

A New York City native, Andrea had her first taste of solving urban issues as she joined NYC Channel 5 News and worked with the television station’s Action Reporter helping to solve urban problems facing New Yorkers, post graduating from New York University.

Since her father was in commercial real estate, the stage was set for her to follow in her family’s footsteps, except she chose to focus on residential real estate. Andrea loved working with people so helping them find the right home became the natural course of her career. From a selling broker at some of New York’s finest firms such as Albert Ashforth and Sotheby’s International she carved out a successful career by listening to her clients and getting results for them.

Following several years as a successful broker, Andrea stepped into an executive role as Sales Director for Albert Ashforth, and then Douglas Elliman, one of the largest and oldest real estate firms in New York. With a move to Westport CT, she took on the role of Sales Director for the New Canaan office of William Raveis Real Estate.

When her husband, a fiction writer, decided to move the family to North Carolina, Andrea found herself in her own dilemma—who would assist them in finding their new home? She knew little about the State or which cities to live in around the Triangle. Despite recommendations from well-meaning friends, she wanted to know she was in the right hands for this move. Knock Knock…Home was born then, though it took several years to refine and put into action.

Andrea lives in Durham, NC with her husband and their mini golden doodle, Callie. Andrea’s love of the area and State inspired her daughter, son in law and their 2 grandchildren to join them in embracing North Carolina.
